It's like a venn diagram with the 3 loops stacked in sequence, then feeding the middle loop through the others. This is how my brain visualizes it, so just sharing in case it helps others remember.

Drying leather with heat will damage it permanently...(Shrinking etc) I know the boots in the video have a man made lining but the heat will reach the leather outside as well but I guess you could do that if really necessary... If you have a leather lined boot... Don´t.... Just don´t..

if you tie a yosemite finish on a bowline, do it the right way around or you gonna have a bad time. there´s multiple reported accidents over the last 5-10 years over here in europe and the mountaineering associations (ÖAV, DAV and CAI) strongly recommend to tie a backup-knot above the knot instead of a finishing-knot. so if you are unsure which way the correct yosemite comes around - just DON´T do it.
